"I believe that the novel becomes a cultural trigger-but this requires
the
digital narrative of nerve cells that had the creature
intensity-simultaneously we must perceive the instant when the novel is
networking as a part of the human body emulator."

"Kenji Siratori arranges the blood and semen encrusted debris with the
finesse of a berserk Issey Miyake. Regarding English-language instantly
redundant with his relentless, murderous prose-drive, Siratori transmits
his
authentic, category-A hallucinogenic product direct to his reader's
cerebellum. A virulently warped amalgam of Tetsuo and cut-up era William
Burroughs." - Stephen Barber

Kenji Siratori: a Japanese cyberpunk writer who is currently bombarding
the
internet with wave upon wave of highly experimental, uncompromising,
progressive, intense prose. His is a writing style that not only breaks
with
tradition, it severs all cords, and can only really be compared to the
kind
of experimental writing techniques employed by the Surrealists, William
Burroughs and Antonin Artaud. Embracing the image mayhem of the digital
age,
his relentless prose is nonsensical and extreme, avant-garde and
confused, w
ith precedence given to twisted imagery, pace and experimentation over
linear narrative and character development. With unparalleled stylistic
terrorism, he unleashes his literary attack. An unprovoked assault on
the
senses. Blood Electric (Creation Books) was acclaimed by David Bowie.

[site] M/C Journal: 'affect' Issue Now Available

Via: "Axel Bruns"

.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - 21 December 2005

M/C - Media and Culture
is proud to present issue six in volume eight of

M/C Journal
http://journal.media-culture.org.au/

'affect' - Edited by Melissa Gregg

Describing how something feels can contribute to a better understanding
of
how it works. Traditionally, academic scholarship has held rational
logic
and the pursuit of objectivity to be the touchstones of veritable
knowledge. Yet in this issue of M/C Journal leading writers in the field
of
cultural studies demonstrate the way that affect theory helps to reveal
our
interest and investment in the world around us. Each contribution shows
that attention to affect brings new insights to contexts as diverse as
refugee advocacy, classroom learning, media consumption, identity
politics,
modified car culture and America under George W. Bush. In so doing, the
issue reinforces the important sensual, emotional and visceral
dimensions
to everyday life, while also exploring the political possibilities and
limitations of such responses.

Feature Article
"Compassionate Refugee Politics?"
- Shane McGrath
Shane McGrath makes the point that the politics of compassion are far
from
straightforward in an era of "compassionate conservatism" but that they
are
noticeably straight. One of the most important distinctions he asks us
to
make is to "recognise and affirm feelings of compassion while
questioning
the politics that seem to emanate from those feelings".

IMPORTANT: Downloading needs a plug-in mp3 and a plug-in m4v. You can get
a
special free Quick time in Apple site or wherever you prefer to go.

For questions of digit pound in the homepage the multimedia radio needs
active authorization to popups -preference in your navigator.

Here it is a LoGz: to hear an autonomous blog ( dowloadable on any php
MySQL
v5 server ), but more experimental as a global review in podcast
containing
a lot of attach fragments through random rss links in real time to Ipod.
More experimental of the poetic sound line as a random metajournalism in
mp3, but both time paradoxally in m4v by the way of an editorial video
designing a thematic vision of which fragments conceptually tribute as a
collector sign to each column whatever it can happen of the random
downloading.

What follows does not concern mp3 but only m4v: compatible linking videos
or
multimedia articles to Ipod asks no more at all but certainly at least
15
downloading podcasts -same volley. It will agree the direction of the 4
columns shown in the bar menu of the homepage. We shall chain
alternately
both articles of each column ( more perpetual editos ) according to the
calendar of weekly publications and globally respecting the number of
articles by column.

Attention! Being passed their respective dates of linking the articles
m4v
will not be downloadable through rss links but recording in the summary
as a
site 2. But the unlocal circle in real time will be available again the
next
month and so on till the next issue (every 2 months). Then the archives
will
remain downloable but in the summary of contents as site 2. See editos
mp3
and the perpetual video edito m4v in the column:" 0. FLAME EDITOS ".

Enjoy and tell us of the Beta essay!

unserem Haus aufmerksam machen.

Christian Jankowski. Im Vordergrund standen die
Vermittlung der selbstndigen Planung und Herstellung
eines knstlerischen Videos sowie der Erwerb von
Kompetenzen zur Analyse und Bewertung von
Videoarbeiten in der zeitgenssischen Kunst. In sieben
Kleingruppen sind experimentelle Kurzfilme entstanden,
in welchen zu den Leittiteln Schnittstellen
Shortcuts ungewhnliche Begebenheiten,
Konfrontationen, surreale Handlungsablufe und
autoreflexive Erzhlverfahren visuell umgesetzt
Schnittstellen-Shortcuts untersttzten.

Zur Erffnung der Ausstellung am Samstag, den 17.

Stefanie Scheurell:: KUNST ODER VERWANDTSCHAFT
09. Dezember 2005 -08. Januar 2006

zusammen. Bei der Prsentation macht sie sich die
Verwandtschaft innerhalb der Kunstwerke zu Nutze und
kombiniert die einzelnen Arbeiten zu komplexen
Installationen, die den Betrachter auf ihre humorvolle
und ironische Art direkt ansprechen. Stefanie
Scheurells arbeiten sind immer auf den Menschen
bezogen. Dabei spielen die Themen Zeit, Spontanitt,
Verwandlung und Vergnglichkeit eine zentrale Rolle.

Mit poetischen, teilweise interaktiven Installationen
anverwandelt sich die Knstlerin den Ausstellungsraum
auf der Frage nach Kunst oder Verwandtschaft.
Diaprojektoren, Monitore, Beschallungsanlagen,
Zeichnungen, Photographien und Dfte erschaffen ein
synaesthetisches Memento mori: Die Knstlerin
Antlitz ihrer Gromutter. In diesem Alter
Ego-Verhltnis spannt sich durch Mienenspiel,
Verkleidung und anekdotisches Erzhlen das ganze
Spektrum der Suche nach Individualitt und Identitt
auf. Die Installation spielt mit dem Kippmoment: Wrde
und Elend des Alters, Schnheit und Vergngl

Via: "judsoN"

.

you may dig this. Plasma Studii is now your web art collection.

that means anybody can add to the collection, delete from it, etc. add
your name (or not), the title (or not), the year (or not) a statement
(or not). you can even choose whether to enter your work's URL, but
since that's your art, you'll probably want to.

folks can also rate all the pieces and the top ones stay up there,
while the unpopular ones dissapear. the ratings decide what appears on
top.

i'm experimenting here. "social software". will eventually make the
scripts available as "open source". you can just let me know what you
wanna see, glitches, etc. by using the "contact" link. (try to make it
happen twice doing exactly the same steps. then send me the error
messge, your platform browser and version.) am sure there's plenty
wrong with it, but you'll let me know!

have fun!

(ps. am finding school servers are just often set up like fort knox.
all kinds of anti-terrorist karl rove propaganda type security
features. anyway, if you are the hapless victim of an overzealous web
master, let me know. if you get blank pages or "file doesn't exist"
messages without "Hurricane Electric" on em from this site, that's a
clue. eventually we'll find that stuff and iron it out for ya.)
