National Character of Geometric Abstraction

Im Gegensatz zur traditionellen geometrischen Abstraktion, wo der Autor
scheinbar willkürlich die Wahl der Form und der Farbe hat und deutet,
stellt die Symbolikder Staatsfahnen eine kollektiv akzeptierte
Abstraktion dar.
Mithilfe eines Zufallsgenerators werden nun die Möglichkeiten einer
sinnvollen Botschaft getestet, wobei jedes neu entstehende Werk
geografische, politische und ethnische Grenzen umreisst.
Die Arbeit operiert mit anerkannten Symbolen und produziert eine
standardisierte und universalisierte Form der Kunst als Gegenstand des
Nationalstolzes.
